……And several other Alerts Department Wise
KCL is basically an Export Oriented Unit located in Hyderabad and produces chemicals related to drilling.
KCL follows purchase indenting, purchase order, quotations, enquiries and scheduling on the Purchase side.
On Sales side, KCL follows the process of sale order, issue of work orders against sales order (instruction to production dept.) and invoicing, ARE-1, custom bond details, CT-1 details etc.
Production department makes purchase indent according to the raw material requirement. If stock available they get it issued for production. KCL follows batch wise issues(consumption) in the system. Each chemical has got its own properties and all are recorded in the system along with their tolerance limits. Once the production is over, the test reports are assigned batch wise, in the system.
Purchase department receives all the purchase indents once they get approved by the concerned dept. head. These purchase indents are picked up for making purchase orders. All the chemical properties mentioned in the purchase indent will be transferred to the PO automatically so the purchase manager need not bother about these details while placing orders.
Soon after arrival of the material, Stores Dept. checks for open POs from that company, checks whether rates match and they raise a Goods Receipt Note and attach it against that purchase order.
Apart from the routine tasks, including payments, receipts, tax returns, ledgers, P&L etc, the Financial Accounting at KCL, uses our date based and age based transaction control system. This ensures that no post dates entries like payments or receipts (for that matter none of the transaction in the system) are editable once they cross certain age (depending on the transaction type they set the age limits, for example all cash transaction should be corrected and checked on the same date, and can not be edited from next day onwards with out permission). Similarly Audit locks are also provided, so none of the employees would be able to edit the transactions in the audited period.
The full-fledged HR system at KCL starts from swipe machine till salary slip and statement to bankers for crediting of salaries. No manual intervention is required in this module unlike in other packages. This is because it has integrated shift scheduling system, leaves management and employee multi classification system (i.e. employees are classified according to shift, weekly off, category etc)
Role based secure access implemented at KCL, ensures limited access to each employee. For Example, A store clerk has no access to account information.
Implementation of SYS-APPS ERP has given KCL Management superb control, to manage resources effectively. This integrated approach has helped KEL run its manufacturing operations with less staff. While productivity has increased, inventory levels have been brought down. It has, made a significant contribution to the firm's success and rapid growth. KCL is fighting fit, to take on competition, by responding fast, to all challenges.
Implement ERP at your Industry too!
